Every older version of this site (going back to circa 1996) has had comments or a guestbook. I liked the genuine (excuse this overused buzzword - I mean it honestly) engagement. It was just as fun making friends as getting into arguments with weenies online.

When I made askdna.coffee, I was going to go for a guestbook for old-time's sake, then I thought a comments section would suffice, then I landed on webhooks, but abandoned them when I moved to Bear, telling myself I'd add comments later.

But then I thought of why I'm making this website at all. It's certainly not to get into arguments. It's not even to get high-fives or superficial comments. It's for my output that I think others would find interesting or amusing.

That said, my email address is at the bottom of every page because I really like actual conversation and if something I wrote happens to spark anything in someone else, I would truly love to hear from them. ;)
